1.) 2001 Apple introduces the OS X 10.1 . The first version of the OS X was indeed for the enthusiasts and it was a way to get Apple out of the OS 9 era. But 10.1 truly established Apple’s operating system as the highest quality OS on any Personal Computer. It also pushed Microsoft to excel and produce higher quality product.
2.) 2001 Apple introduces The First Gen iPod (needs no explanation, I guess)
3.) 2001 Apple opens the first two Apple Stores : This store was a great experiment, but strange enough Apple decided to open it in Tyson Corner, Va. and Glendale, Ca. Now apple has more than 270 stores around the world and none of them have been closed! Talk about success.
4.) 2002 Apple introduces iPhoto the initial component to the iLife package. It actually made digital photography manageable and its concept was widely copied by every OEM software developer.
5.) 2003 Apple introduces Aluminum PowerBook G4 – iTunes Store Opens it’s doors.
6.) Apple Annouces it’s transsion to Intel processor Hell has Frozen over, says Steve Jobs!
7.) 2006 BootCamp enables Macs to run Windows directly : PC-Mag chose MacBook Pro as the fastest PC running Vista.
8.) 2007 Apple brings out iPodTouch and iPhone (needs no explanation, rest is history!).
9.) 2008 Apple opens iPod Touch and iPhone to third party developers. SDK and Extension for XCode is released for free.
